Fantero is a virtual content marketplace that provides users by photo, flash, audio, video, template, script, graphic and 3D files.

In 2007 SoftBistro decided to create an e-commerce system combining the best features of the most successful e-commerce projects on the market. After a careful market analysis, we identified the following three differentiators to be implemented in our system:

• It had to combine a number of platforms with a different type of content: music, software, scripts, images, sounds, etc.
• The content database had to be large and diversified.
• The system had to be easy to use and easy to search.

The resulting virtual content marketplace was to serve the design and freelance communities offering the diverse range of unique digital content.

To achieve our goal, we had to solve the following key challenges:

• Ensuring good usability and user experience;
